The Autophagy/Anti-aging Research Center was established in April 2024 as the first full-scale research center of Nara Medical University. This center drives the most advanced research on aging, particularly focusing on autophagy, which is known to be an intracellular degradation system, and aims to create new seeds that lead in the future to the control of human aging and diseases through joint research within and outside the university and collaboration with industry.
